Solar Design & Installer Training

This two-day session is focused on training participants on all that is required for designing and installing Solar systems.

The students learn the science behind solar power, electrical basics, performing site evaluations and the function and integration of all components of a solar-powered system, both grid-tied and off grid.

All students will manually assemble a fully operational roof, pole and ground-mounted solar-powered system.

Course Objectives

• Design and plan the layout of a solar array
• Learn the process of of mounting solar modules to the racking system
• Off-grid system design and off-grid balance
• maintaince and cleaning of the solar system
• Correct and safe method of commissioning a solar system
• Best practice in over current protection, grounding, wiring, and safety
• Solar modules and their characteristics

Successful completion of this course will equip you with the knowledge, skills and complete understanding of all the different equipment involved in a solar array system, the concepts of angles and shading, assembly of a fully operational solar-powered system, parallel and series circuits, designing and installing a battery system, testing to understand the output of panels, and grid-tie, off-grid and hybrid systems.
