This comprehensive program will empower you with the advanced skills and knowledge required to earn your Initial License as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities, covering PreK-8 or Grades 5-12.

The Master of Education in Special Education program provides students with a depth of knowledge and breadth of skill in educating students with disabilities required of a "master teacher" or an advanced service provider.
The Master of Arts in Special Education-LBS I Program develops professionals who are new to teaching and those who are already licensed but seeking a master’s degree.
Prepares teachers to meet the specific needs of preschool, elementary, junior high, high school, and adult students at risk for or living with learning disabilities.
The inclusion model of delivering special education services in an urban environment is emphasized, but candidates will be prepared to work in self-contained environments as well.
The Special Education master’s program will prepare you to help exceptional students in kindergarten through 12th grade. You’ll also learn to manage teams, mentor colleagues, coach paraprofessionals and work closely with parents.
