ProSAPs Spill Awareness course is designed to provide knowledge of the safe procedures in the event of a hazmat spill. Our course consists of 5 Modules in which the trainee will learn step by step protocol along with the designated roles of workers that are set to contain the spill and keep workers safe.
ProSAPs Spill Response course offers value through the relevant information and emergency procedures pertaining to a hazmat spill.
The trainee will:
Gain awareness and understand the hazards associated with accidental spills of hazardous materials (hazmat).
Gain knowledge on how a spill response team should operate in the event of a spill and how to avoid hazards.
Gain knowledge of safe practices and equipment used to safely handle hazmat spills, clean up and disposal.
Gain knowledge on proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and decontamination methods after a spill response.
Become familiar with legislative standards & regulations pertaining to spill response.
ProSAPs Spill Response course consists of these five modules:
Upon completion and a passing grade of above 75% the trainee will receive a laminated certification card.
Our instructors have trained over 6500 employees and conducted over 1500 training classes including: forklift operator certification, aerial work platform certification, working at heights designation, fall protection certification, transportation of dangerous goods certification,
WHMIS 2015 (GHS) designation, overhead crane certification, accessibility certification, train the trainer certification, truck mounted crane certification and battery/propane handling instruction.
We carry the designation of factory trained by Raymond Corporation, Skyjack Inc, Working at Heights approved by the Chief Prevention Officer and WHMIS 2015.
We currently have 4 trainers with over 17 years experience in the material handling industry whom have trained on all class of forklift trucks for the distribution centre such as SCM “Wal-Mart Distribution Centre”, TDL “ Tim Horton’s Distribution Centre”, etc.
Through this course, participants are instructed in safe operating techniques, how to perform thorough inspections, and effective maintenance procedures. The contents of this RPE trai ning course covers the following types of respiratory protective equipment: Air-purifying respirator (APR).
When workers are required to work in confined spaces, confined spaces awareness training is required by law and is vital if incidents, injuries, and deaths are to be eliminated.
This confined space awareness course will provide participants with the information needed to understand the potential hazards of working in these spaces and the elements necessary to control those hazards prior to entry.
Training for individuals who use propane powered construction heaters (up to 400,000 BTUH) and hand-held torches. Students who only require instruction on the safe use of hand-held torches may take P?T?I’s 400-08 – Propane Torches course instead of this course.
Working at Height Training outlines the requirements for training programs that are submitted to the Chief Prevent Officer (CPO), for approval.
