Course Details

ProSAPs Spill Awareness course is designed to provide knowledge of the safe procedures in the event of a hazmat spill.  Our course consists of 5 Modules in which the trainee will learn step by step protocol along with the designated roles of workers that are set to contain the spill and keep workers safe.

ProSAPs Spill Response course offers value through the relevant information and emergency procedures pertaining to a hazmat spill.

The trainee will:

  • Gain awareness and understand the hazards associated with accidental spills of hazardous materials (hazmat).

  • Gain knowledge on how a spill response team should operate in the event of a spill and how to avoid hazards.

  • Gain knowledge of safe practices and equipment used to safely handle hazmat spills, clean up and disposal.

  • Gain knowledge on proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and decontamination methods after a spill response.

  • Become familiar with legislative standards & regulations pertaining to spill response.

 

ProSAPs  Spill Response course consists of these five modules:

  • Module 1:  Introduction Hazmat Basics (Standards & Regulations)
  • Module 2:  Spill Response Team
  • Module 3:  Spill Response & Equipment
  • Module 4:  Order of Operations
  • Module 5:  Decontamination & Waste Disposal

Upon completion and a passing grade of above 75% the trainee will receive a laminated certification card.
