In 1995, Guelph was lacking a business whose sole purpose was to provide safety to the people of Guelph and surrounding area so Kevin Gortmaker, his father Karl and sister Loretta embarked on a journey and created Probuy Safety Solutions.
Probuy became one of the first online e-commerce safety companies in the late 1990's. They were overwhelmed when frantic Americans called wanting to protect themselves and their families from biological warfare following the tragic events of 9/11.
Soon after the dust from 9/11 settled, calls again came pouring in due to the fear from SARS. Here they are again keeping people safe from the latest threat of Covid-19. ?Planning to work with hazardous chemicals in your workplace? WorkSafeBC regulations apply! In BC all employers are required by law to provide WHMIS instruction to all employees who are in contact with and in close proximity to any materials (hazardous chemicals).
EHS Zone provides a variety of Occupational Health and Safety courses for workers and supervisors. The training sessions are held at our location in Vaughan, ON and also in different training centers around the GTA. We also offer customized training sessions at customer sites.
Participants learn the meaning of hazard class symbols as well as the general hazards and required precautions for each hazard class. Supplier and workplace label requirements are covered.
This course is designed to educate a worker, supervisor or manager on the major elements of the WHMIS Program. The student is taught how to implement a WHMIS Program in compliance with existing legislation. Every effort will be made to address concerns to the participants' requirements.
