Course Details

Ensure that key staff understand their responsibility for site safety, spill control and environmental protection. Also to provide familiarity with emergency planning, drainage systems, spill prevention and clean up products and techniques.

Course Objectives:
To enable delegates to be able to assess and respond promptly, safely and effectively to a recent spillage event and take appropriate action to protect human health and the environment utilising suitable equipment and techniques to mitigate damage.

  • Training limited to response to spillages on hardstandings (internal and external) and within drainage systems, bunds and interceptors (ISAS Accreditation Category 1)

  • To provide the depth of information on the subject matter to enable delegates to cascade training to their colleagues

  • To ensure that any such cascaded training covers the core learning objectives of the Spill First Responder course whilst adapting to the specific needs of the site/company operations and risks
