Sport and Physical Activity Level 3 Introductory Certificate (Year 1/Certificate Year 2)
If you have a passion for sport and are interested in coaching and leadership, then this is a great course for you.
The practical qualification will help you develop a range of personal skills and knowledge that are needed for a successful career. You will study a range of topics related to sport and physical activity, completing work-related assignments and undertaking research.
As part of this course, you will have full access to our excellent facilities at the New College Swindon Sports Centre, including a gym, fitness suite, sports hall and 3G pitch.
Entry requirements
You will need five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English Language, Maths and Science. In addition you will need a genuine passion for sport.
Future career and study opportunities
With this qualification and two other A Levels, you will be able to progress onto Higher Education. Popular degrees to study in this sector include Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, Sport Science, Coaching and Physical Education, Strength & Conditioning.
You may also wish to pursue a career in the National Health Service, private health & fitness clubs, as a Sports Development Officer or personal trainer. There are many exciting options.
