Regina First Aid proudly offers provincially recognized standard first aid courses in Regina. This course, also referred to as intermediate first aid,  includes training and certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED).

This first aid course is one of the most popular first aid courses offered throughout Canada.It is also one of the most comprehensive as it covers over a dozen first-aid emergencies.

This is an 18-hour course in which candidates have the option of selecting from three different CPR levels.

The course comes standard with CPR level “C”, however,  candidates have the option of taking CPR “HCP” with the standard / intermediate first aid course. This course meets legislative standards for first aid training in Regina.

Standard / Intermediate First Aid And CPR Course Content:

Candidates in this course will cover the following emergencies:

  • CPR for victims of all ages (including infants).
  • Conscious and unconscious obstructed (Choking)victims of all ages.
  • Respiratory emergencies including asthma and anaphylaxis.
  • Circulatory emergencies (includes heart attacks, angina, and strokes).
  • Deadly bleeding.
  • Internal bleeding.
  • Fractures and broken bones.
  • Sprains and strains.
  • Environmental emergencies.
  • Spinal injuries.
  • Seizures
  • Diabetic Emergencies (including hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia)
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degree Burns.
  • Poisons.
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

First Aid Course Length:

The length of this standard first aid course is anywhere from 18 to 20 hours depending on the class and instructor.

The cost of this course is $144.99. Course fee includes taxes, certification fee and take-home first aid and CPR manual.
