This 1-day course re-certification is a challenge of the Standard First Aid course content and requires the student to demonstrate essential skills as well as pass the theoretical exam.
This challenge is open to those who have a current Standard First Aid certificate from an Alberta OH &S approved program - with Level A or C CPR and with or without AED.
If the certificate is from out-of-province then a full course must be taken. The recertification is intended for those who use their First Aid skills on a regular basis and are able to demonstrate their competency in all required skill areas.

This is a blended course, and you will need to complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the in-person session.
As a child care provider, you will need to be trained and certified in specific topics that are directly related to situations that may arise while children are in your care. The Canadian Red Cross Child Care First Aid and CPR program covers all required under Provincial Legislation.
Alternatively, this course can be taken partially online.
A youth program for ages 9 – 13, developed by the Canadian Red Cross to teach safety awareness and first aid skills to elementary school-aged children. Lessons taught by the Youth Leaders are supported by an interactive workbook.
You will learn, among other things, to provide specific treatments while waiting for the pre-hospital emergency services, to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and to administer adrenaline by auto-injector.
