International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers sets minimum qualification standards for masters, officers and watch personnel on seagoing merchant ships and large yachts.
This training is for anyone who has not yet carried out STCW Basic Training and is working in the boating industry, particularly those working on superyachts, fishing boats, charters, ferries, and container/transportation ships.

The STCW 2010 Manila amendments introduced new requirements for all seafarers holding STCW certificates. These include a requirement for seafarers renewing STCW certificates of competency to provide additional evidence to ensure their certificate is valid for service on certain types of ship.
The aim of this course is to provide students with the competencies for fire-fighting in a leadership role on board a vessel at sea. This course meets the requirements of STCW 1978 as amended, A-VI/3.
