This model course aims to provide the training for candidates in fire prevention and fighting in accordance with Section A-V1/1 of the STCW Code.This syllabus covers the requirements of the 1995 STCW Convention Chapter VI, Section AV1/1, paragraph 2 and Table A-VI/1-2
Basic Safety Training (STCW) course is offered by BIMT. The STCW Basic Safety Training course (STCW95 & STCW 2010) and STSTSD is required to be undertaken by all seafarers in accordance with section A-Vl/1 of the STCW Code.
The training course is fully residential with excellent reading rooms, computer facilities and further the course is predominantly practical oriented with 60% of the course time dedicated to workshop and afloat training.
STCW which a prospective seafarer must do before proceeding to the sea. These courses under the STCW Convention (Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping) are IMO (International Maritime Organization) requirements and cover the basic knowledge about the Safety & Survival at sea.
Basic Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations is offered by ANVAY Maritime Institute.This course is principally intended for candidate for certification for basic training for liquefied gas tanker cargo operations as specified in section A-V/1-2, paragraph 1 of the STCW code as amended
