Born in Seattle by local architects and artists passionate about children’s education and creative play, BEAM Experiences offers hands-on guided learning for grades 1-8.
Our curriculum is STEAM based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) with a focus on creativity, exploration and experimentation.
This program is intended as a great "Quick Start" to Stop-Motion Animating. Whether you're cutting people out of paper for a "South Park" style, or animating your own puppets / figures or items, you'll make your ideas spring to life with stop motion animation.
This course exposes students to the methods used to achieve high-quality visual effects animation. Tools are learned in context with how they are used in a professional production environment, and problem-solving is critical to coursework.
Examination of concepts, characters, and storyboards for basic animation production. Emphasis on creating movement and expression utilizing traditional or electronically generated image sequences.
The Animation and Interactive Media curriculum incorporates courses from several departments including Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography.
Aspiring animators can join this class for a journey into animation techniques, character development and storytelling. Students will explore figure motion, lip syncing, frame-by-frame and tweening as they take their animation skills to the next level.
