In academic terms, the kids will have gained digital literacy, art/technology integration, and communication skills, but sssshhh… you don’t have to tell them that they were learning while they were having so much fun!
In 2010, founder Elizabeth Yarnell’s son was in second grade at a magnet school for the Gifted and Talented in downtown Denver. The school had received a StART Grant (Science, Technology, Art Integration).
From Colorado Creative Industries and Elizabeth, along with another parent volunteer who was a professor of film, was tasked to administer grant funding in a way that would integrate science, art and technology.
Into the curriculum at the school. Elizabeth’s thirty years of experience in the film and video industry and as a multimedia instructional designer made her a perfect fit for this role.
This course exposes students to the methods used to achieve high-quality visual effects animation. Tools are learned in context with how they are used in a professional production environment, and problem-solving is critical to coursework.
Students will learn the basics of 2D animation done in Photoshop. We will introduce the most useful fundamentals that will allow you to later animate in any format such as motion graphics or 3D animation.
Animation course is offered by Venice Arts for all skill level. We offer a dynamic, experiential learning environment, with no more than 12 kids in a class and an artist-to-youth ratio of 1:3. our high-impact programs foster creativity, arts knowledge and skills, and visual.
We teach animation from a maker's point of view with a focus on creation, design and innovation. Our students use animation as a medium to tell stories, make social statements and create immersive experiences that transcend cultural and age barriers.
Aspiring animators can join this class for a journey into animation techniques, character development and storytelling. Students will explore figure motion, lip syncing, frame-by-frame and tweening as they take their animation skills to the next level.
