Stress can permeate our lives and cause both physical and mental suffering. If not properly managed, daily stress can lead to a plethora of symptoms: digestion problems, sleep disorders, fatigue, irritability, loss of concentration, loss of pleasure, impulsivity, impaired judgement, sadness, and many others. We now know that stress is also a significant risk factor for coronary artery disease.
Fortunately, there are ways we can reduce stress-related suffering, transform it, and use it to bring about gradual positive change. The Stress Reduction Workshop offered through the ÉPIC Centre provides people with skills to reduce and better manage stress and thereby enjoy a healthy life for as long as possible.

Given by Dr. Robert Béliveau, the mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Workshop is meant for people interested in practising simple and accessible meditation techniques to reduce the effects of stress.

Our approach is skills training to respond to stress more adaptively
This short course explores what stress is, as well as the difference between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ stress, identifying its signs and symptoms, impact and practical tools to help beat it.
In this mental health workshop, participants learn how to manage these feelings, turning stressful situations into opportunities for collaboration.
This course is designed for beginners, although it is also open to those with some meditation experience.
