The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is provided through Fanshawe College’s English Language Institute, which is fully accredited by Languages Canada.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is provided through Fanshawe College’s English Language Institute, which is fully accredited by Languages Canada.
It provides an opportunity for you to improve your English language ability while meeting students from all over the world. Included in the program is 15 hours of ESL instruction per week. You will develop your skills in grammar, reading and writing, listening and speaking, and pronunciation. Course materials will be provided to you.
Canadian culture
Let us introduce you to Canadian culture through afternoon activities and weekend excursions to some of Canada’s most famous destinations, including Toronto and Niagara Falls. Visit some of our Great Lakes and experience Canadian wildlife first hand.

We at English Planet strongly believe that proficiency in English language is vital. It’s the key that will enable you to express your thoughts with ease in this world.
In this integrated skills course, English as an Additional Language students are introduced to basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills using limited vocabulary in familiar, non-demanding, well-supported contexts.
Some of our teachers are bilingual and speak both English and French and some of our teachers do teacher training as well as teach English to learners.
Our General English course uses market-leading materials to give engaging, interactive lessons. Your teacher will use a variety of resources and methods to offer varied yet structured classes, and improve your day-to-day communication by covering interesting and relevant themes.
CLLCs rigorous curriculum is founded on a number of external EAL criteria such as the Canadian Language Benchmarks, TOEFL, and IELTS. All GE schedules include a Plus One class. The Plus One class allows students to choose a variety of topics that cover multiple interests or academic skills.
