Join the Fashion and Design faculty and local Fashion Industry friends this summer for Lipscomb University's first ever Summer Fashion Academy. Tailored specifically for high school students, participants will gain an understanding of the Styling, Design, and Merchandising sectors of the Fashion industry.
As a true hands on learning experience through lectures, workshops and local fashion related field trips, students will experience wardrobe styling, basic design skills, and visual merchandising and display conceptualization techniques.

The Fashion Design Foundation provides students with the foundational skills and knowledge for intermediate and advanced study in fashion design or obtain an apprenticeship in the garment industry.
Learn the basics of quilting by making a star patterned table runner. This class will cover rotary cutting, block making, assembly, sashing, as well as straight-line quilting and binding. This class will be 2, 3-hour sessions.
In this Beginner level class, we'll work our way through sewing a tote bag from start to finish.
