This course gives the participant an introduction to roles and responsibilities for safety in the workplace along with their general duties under the Saskatchewan OHS legislation. Duties include workplace inspections, hazard identification, incident reporting, investigations, worker training and orientation.
Students will review Saskatchewan legislation in class and conduct their own tool box talk. After completion of the course participants will better understand their due diligence, legal requirements, organizational behaviour and safety culture.

The course focuses on self-propelled elevated work platforms (scissor lifts) and self-propelled boom supported elevated work platforms (boom lifts).
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to understand the regulations that address fall protection, identify risks, and fall hazards, and describe safe work procedures to prevent falls on site. Valid for 3 years.
