The T-Level qualification is an exciting brand new two-year, full-time course which has been designed in partnership with businesses and employers that is aimed to give you the knowledge and skills to support your move into a career in early years and childcare or schools.
What will I learn
You will study core components which provide a high-level foundation of knowledge and skills that are relevant to all occupational specialisms within the field of childcare and education.
Some of these core topics and ideas will then be studied in more depth in year 2 when you will be able to choose to focus on either early years education or assisting teaching within schools.
You will also undertake a high quality, structured and outcomes-focused industry placement, this is an integral part of the new T-Level programme.
The industry placement will be aligned to your career aspirations identified in your career plan which will be 750 hours and could include up to two employers.
High quality industry placements will support you to develop a breadth of new skills to provide you with a valuable opportunity to personally progress towards your career goals.
How will I learn
You will learn and develop your skills by using a range of exciting and innovative teaching and learning methods including projects, presentations, displays and innovative use of VR, bringing your curriculum experience alive.

Printing and photocopying (including colour printing) is available in the LRC. A limited number of print copies are available free of charge, after which printing is available at a discounted rate. A college ID card is required to use these facilities.

The LRC has rooms and spaces available for silent study, tutorial and dedicated Access and Higher Education Study Rooms.
This is an introductory teaching course, for people interested in becoming a teacher or trainer in the post-16 education and skills sector. It is also suitable for people who are new to teaching, or who have to deliver teaching or training as part of their role.
The T Level foundation year in Education and Early course is designed for those that are looking to progress on to a T Level programme but do not yet meet the entry requirements.

This qualification is ideal for if you are looking to work with children between birth and 5 years, and to gain knowledge of working with children up to 7 years. You do not need to have previous experience or qualifications in working with children to undertake this qualification.
