Tai chi is originally a traditional form of Chinese internal martial arts from the 16th century. Tai chi and its conditioning exercises emphasise neutral spine, relaxation, calmness, slow pace and using our bodies in the most energy efficient way.

Being recognised for its invaluable health benefits, today people mostly practice tai chi as moving meditation to promote health, improve mental alertness, memory and overall wellness rather than as a form of martial art.

At WELBY Holistic Healing we love teaching you the underlying meanings, martial applications and intent of each individual movement. This provides you the opportunities to understand body mechanics, postures, kinetic chains (the correct and energy efficient alignment of all joints) as well as each tai chi movement’s health and wellbeing benefits. We believe it is important for you to have fun and build personal empowerment along with our gentle training.

In our classes you will have the opportunity to progressively learn the following:

  • Well-being/ self-care tips & Acupressure points percussion
