The Tamil Nadu Open University was established by an Act (No.27 of 2002) of the Legislative Assembly of the Government of Tamil Nadu to benefit those who have been deprived of and/or denied.
The access to higher education especially destitute, physically challenged, working men and women, economically weaker sections of the society, and those who discontinued education for various reasons, etc.
With a view to increasing the access to higher education and improving the quality of education offered through the open and distance learning modes by coordinating such provisions in the state, the Government of Tamil Nadu established.
We offer both, short term Certificate courses in Fashion Design with Accessories and long term Diploma in Fashion Design course with a syllabus designed to offer practical knowledge and training on each and every aspect of fashion viz.
The course syllabus for Fashion Design and Management Studies may vary depending on the institution and the specific program.
We offer well qualified, experience staff for effective running of the curriculum. Guest lecturers and experts are invited from time to time to impart their professional expertise and experience to the students.
Tailoring courses on Basic & Advanced Tailoring, Hand & Machine Embroidery, Aari, Zardosi Embroidery (Basic & Advanced), Self-Grooming, Self-Dress Designing been taught for Children's and Ladies and we do prepare students for Government Certified Examination.
