Students Will Gain An Understanding Of The Music While Learning To Control Their Bodies
Steps of varying difficulty are taught progressively through the year, allowing each dancer to master techniques at his/her own pace. One of the first dance forms to be created, tap is a fun class anyone can enjoy!
Class consisting of instruction in both tap and ballet disciplines as a progression from basic pre-school introductory. At this level dancers will start to learn more complex stationary steps and stage movement.
This class is a high energy class in which feet become musical instruments. Tapping rhythms are set to all different eras of music from the classic to the trendy drum beats of today’s tap style.
Boys often enjoy the intricacies & challenges of the footwork. While upper body & arm lines are important in Tap, they are freer than its counterpart, Classical Ballet. This less structured upper body placement with the single focus of footwork skills, also appeal to male students.Â
