DurationDallas Ballet Center has many classes to offer students who are interested in tap. Under the direction of Peggy McCaslin, the tap division receives a solid technical foundation. Peggy McCaslin received the prestigious Tap Legend Award from The Dance Council of North Texas in 2013 for her commitment and excellence in tap instruction.

Classes improve concentration and a student’s ability to grasp and execute combinations and instructions quickly.
Students not only learn tap technique but also develop self confidence, stage presence, and performance skills. Tap students in younger classes also receive an introduction to musical theater skills with routines that incorporate song and dance.
The Dallas Ballet Center creates a positive learning environment within 7 spacious and professionally-designed studios, where nurturing faculty teach all dance disciplines in the most effective, safe, and productive manner, encouraging students to excel to their full potential.
This class enables students to develop coordination, timing, and rhythm while making music with their feet. Tap is great for improving toddler's ability to sense rhythm since the ear is such an important part of learning tap. This class is for children 2.5 years to adult
Students ages 7 and up are invited to move beyond the combination class into a 45-minute tap technique class. Â This, fun, high energy class will emphasize proper tap progressions, styles, and rhythms. Â Tap students will perform one routine in the Spring Recital.
This class has a standard warm-up, focuses on across the floor technique and ends with a combo.
Intro to basic steps: toe heel, slap, shuffle, cramp rolls; combinations & timing.
Tap Dance Class is offered by En Pointe Indiana Ballet. En Pointe Indiana’s preschool dance classes start at age 3 and includes Discovery Dance .
