As students get older, the tap class refines skills while moving beyond the fundamentals to include new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations. Our tap students participate in our year-end recital performance.

This class has a standard warm-up, focuses on across the floor technique and ends with a combo.
A rhythmical dance, focused in the feet, using special shoes with metal taps. Jazz class will improve the development of the skills in this class.
Tap develops rhythm, musicality and coordination. Dancers will practice rhythmic patterns and combinations with tap shoes.
Students ages 7 and up are invited to move beyond the combination class into a 45-minute tap technique class. This, fun, high energy class will emphasize proper tap progressions, styles, and rhythms. Tap students will perform one routine in the Spring Recital.
Tap dance is characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor. The sound is made by shoes that have a metal “tap” on the heel and toe. There are several major variations on tap dance including: flamenco, rhythm (jazz) tap, classical tap, Broadway tap, and post-modern tap
