Students will study Broadway-style tap dancing, rhythm tap, tap improvisation and many other tap techniques.
The study of dance can give unlimited amounts of poise, grace, beauty and strength - requisites to a healthy and self-assured attitude at any stage of life. Our aim is to give our students the best dance education possible through our professional instruction and personal attention.
You will find yourself dancing with a wonderful group of adults in a friendly and supportive classroom. This class combines traditional/classic and theatre dance styles of tap. The vocabulary of tap is emphasized as great music from big band, Broadway, rock n roll, jazz, country, swing, etc.
Tap is a style of dance involving rhythms, dynamics, and varying sounds. One of the most iconic forms of dancing, tap uses metal on the bottom of shoes to create noise that complements and/or matches the music it's coupled with. Tapping is a valuable style for dancers of any age, size, or skill
Tap Dance Classes are offered by Gena's School of Dance for all ages and skill level. Genas dance school has been a fun studio for many years. We are certified through dance educators of America.
Our adult tap classes are a lot of fun! Beginning Tap is designed for beginners or those returning to dance after taking a long hiatus. Intermediate Tap is designed for those with previous experience. Tap dance improves overall fitness and is a great mental work out as well
