Students learning Tap, will develop a keen sense of balance, rhythm, timing and musical awareness by percussive footwork that marks out precise rhythmic patterns on the floor. We teach a routine in the class It is performed at the Mid Year and End of Year Shows.
This lively, rhythmic tapping makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician. Tap dancing is a vital part in a child’s dance education due the rhythmical factor involved, helping them to develop an acute sense of musicality.
Students will learn from the PDA Unique Technique Syllabus. It is great for all ages and develops strong tap technique with expression, challenging rhythms and sounds.
If you have never tapped before and always wanted to try or if you are returning to tap after a long absence and want to get back into form.
Tap is a great way to increase coordination and develop a great sense of rhythm and timing.
