At JE Dancehouse, we teach the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Tap Dancing syllabus. The CSTD is a prominent international dance society that has been established for over 80 years.

We offer tap dancing classes for children of all ages, starting from the age of five through to young adults.

The CSTD Tap syllabus incorporates world renowned training and resources. This ensures that we provide our students with strong foundations in correct tap dancing technique, educational theory, expression, enjoyment and encouragement.

We also offer our students the opportunity to complete CSTD tap exams if they wish. Points for their exams also go towards student’s QCE study.

Teacher's Experience
Julia is a talented dancer and teacher at JE Dancehouse. She loves loves nurturing children in the fine art of dance and performing in a variety of dance genre. Julia’s passion for the arts developed when she began dance training at the age of three. Starting from the age of 9, she has since successfully completed all RAD ballet and CSTD jazz and tap examinations. As a result of her experience, Julia understands the amazing accomplishment it is to complete each level of a world renowned syllabus. In addition to her successful career as a dance teacher, Julia adores participating in local productions and musicals. Highlights in her career to date include “Sandy” in Grease the Musical with Philharmonic Society; “Margot” in Legally Blonde an Empire Theatre production; “Shelby” in Steel Magnolias and “Jan” in The One Day a Year at the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre. This year Julia will again be teaching the CSTD Jazz and Tap Exam Syllabus at our brand new studio.
