Tap evolved as an American dance form, influenced by African dance, Irish dance and/or clog dancing. At NSPA, our tap classes work towards the NZAMD syllabus, and students are invited to sit exams at their teacher’s discretion. As with the other dance styles, our tap students perform at the end-of-year production.
We offer a wide range of dance, theatre and music classes for students from 3 years of age right up to advanced and adult levels. Be taught and inspired by some of Auckland's best teachers.
Our current adult tap group are of an Intermediate standard, so some basic tap experience is required to join this group.
This class will introduce the kids to the genre of tap.
The BAL syllabus teaches excellent rhythm and we believe is one of the best tap syllabi available especially for younger students.
Tap is a great way to develop an exciting rhythmical array of beats, rhythm and musicality in a fun environment.
Tap Dance classes are offered by Flow Dance Academy.
