Royalty Dance Academy opened in 2005 all because of a dream! I had just graduated college and had finished competition in the Miss Texas Pageant and decided it was time to fulfill a dream of mine that I had had since the 7th grade, to open my own dance studio!
I hired a consultant and the first step we did was put together a business plan to submit to the bank for a small business loan! Once the loan was approved I found a location to rent in the RISE and within 3 months the doors to Royalty Dance Academy were opened!
I wanted a studio where every girl who walked through my doors will feel special and would feel like a princess! I wanted to combine my love for dance with the glitz and glamour of pageants that I loved so much, and that is where the name “Royalty Dance Academy” came from!
My first year I had 85 students, one teacher (me) and one dance room! Now I have over 300 students, 12 people on staff and my own property with 3 dance rooms! God is good!!! – Amy Connolly, Owner, Royalty Dance Academy, Rockwall, TX.
Tap Dance Classes are offered by Century Ballroom for all ages and skill level.
Children love to make noise and move – our tap dance classes for kids let them do both. In these classes, our instructors focus on furthering your child’s understanding of rhythm, music counting, timing, and different tap patterns.
Tap develops rhythm, musicality and coordination. Dancers will practice rhythmic patterns and combinations with tap shoes.
Our Tap classes teach dancers to develop musicality, rhythm, quick thinking and the ability to “hear” music. Class curriculum will include a tap warm up and move into complex progressions and rhythmic combinations
Tap Dance Classes are offered by CeCe Farha's Range of Motion Dance Studio? for teenagers of all skill level. Teen Level is developed for our recreational dancers and slightly older introductory dancers.
