The student wishing to pursue dance as a career is given an opportunity to gain experience by competing and performing in our annual show as well as other shows and Festivals.We also compete in local and international competitions.
A fully qualified registered staff provides full or part time teacher training. The more serious pupil is trained to enter for examinations.
At Springwood we strive to give everybody the individual guidance and attention to which they are entitled to, whilst instilling the value of commitment, respect, hard work, discipline and artistry.
We participate in shows, compete in festivals and competitions both locally and internationally
Tap dancers make frequent use of syncopation. Choreography typically starts on the eighth or first beat count.
A fun and challenging class where choreography and moves are introduced that fall outside the curriculum. Tap knowledge and technique on the equivalent of Grade 4 needs to be understood for this class.
"Tap" is the sound which is made by the shoes striking the dancefloor.
Our exercises and techniques are based on the A.I.D.T.A. syllabus and we have a lot of fun working on dances that’s inspired by a variety of styles from Hip-Hop to Salsa.
Tap Dance Lessons are offered by And U Dance Studio for all ages and abilities. We strive to deliver the highest quality of dance instruction, while nurturing each student’s unique gift of talent and creativity.
