The Happening enters its ninth season in September 2021, and has seen tremendous growth in the past few years.
Our studio welcomes hundreds of dancers between the ages of 3-17 through our Fraser Street doors 7-days a week, in the genres of hip hop, contemporary, ballet, jazz, breakdance, tap, and now acro.
Each January we host Accelerate, a ticketed contemporary dance show that has our competitive students dance alongside professional contemporary dance artists in our community.
The tap syllabus is based on the Al Gilbert graded system. This system begins with pre-tap and proceeds through an additional 10 grades.Â
Using the Al Gilbert Syllabus on sound and rhythm combinations created through the feet using specially designed shoes with metal taps.
