Using the sounds of metal tap shoes dancers create a percussive rhythm with their feet.
Students will learn how to count and understand various beats within music and by doing so they will be able to grasp the relationship between the sounds they create with their feet and the music.
Students are required to wear a body suit or fitted top with spandex shorts, leggings or pants that do not interfere with their feet. Students are required to wear black tap shoes with their hair in a pony tail or bun out of their face.
This class offers an exciting introduction to dance for beginner dancers who are five to six years of age and/or dancers who have completed Tiny Tots. The class includes movement and music for boys and girls in pre-ballet and tap.
