Wissahickon Dance Academy (WDA) was established over 30 years ago as a ballet school by Nancy Malmed, a professionally trained ballet dancer with an MA in Dance from Temple University.
Ballet classes range from pre-ballet through pre-professional and adult; in addition, classes are offered in jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, character and yoga.

Students begin with an introduction to basic tap steps, sounds, and techniques before exploring rhythms through call and response, and repetition.
This is an intermediate level class recommended for students 8-11 years of age. At least 1 year of prior tap training is required for this class.
