This course delves into current tax code concepts, issues and regulations and the resulting consequences and liabilities to a financial planner's clients. You will develop tax planning strategies to manage tax liability and to accumulate assets while minimizing tax consequences.
This course introduces students to federal income tax as it relates to individuals. Areas of concentration include: income inclusion and exclusion and deductions as they are defined utilizing the Internal Revenue Code and related material.
This class is designed for learning the basics of income tax so that you can be prepared and confident during tax season. No prior experience necessary. A sample tax return will be provided in class, or you may bring your own to use.
The course explores the structure of the code as it pertains to the taxation of individuals, their businesses, partnerships, trusts, and other legal entities.
