Since 1992, Second Chance CPR & First Aid and Spectrum Safety Services have been leading training providers in Edmonton, Alberta. Trust us to provide you sound advice on required training for advancing your career or moving down a new path. We have direct access to the requirements of governing agencies (ie. Workplace Health and Safety), as well as the latest information on certification and frequency of training.
Their duties are to direct traffic to safer areas where construction or traffic incidents are taking place. In addition they have to moderate the traffic density to not cause traffic jams. They guide motorists to follow the traffic laws; but may not be able to enforce the law.
This is a workshop covering the training requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act. The workshop takes approximately 4 hours and we can accommodate up to 15 participants. TDG manuals are provided and certificates of training issued to each participant.
The Defensive Driving program is a nationally recognized driver improvement program developed by the Canada Safety Council, for the benefit of drivers and employers of personnel who operate passenger size vehicles as part of their work tasks.
This course is designed for individuals and companies involved in the transportation, shipping and receiving of dangerous goods in Canada. Training is valid for three years, if working within Canada.
The program will verify proficiency in the knowledge and understanding of, as well as, the practical application to emergency vehicle driving as per NFPA 1002 Standard on Fire Apparatus Driver Operator Professional Qualifications.
