Continuing education has been an integral part of the University of Victoria since its inception in 1963. Today, the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) provides adult and continuing education programming in co-operation with UVic faculties and community partners. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of programs in a range of academic disciplines, using diploma, certificate, degree and other programming models to serve adult, part-time, international and geographically dispersed students.

In order to provide Special Olympics athletes with a quality experience in sport, coaches are expected to attain a minimum level of qualification, and are supported in their pursuit of coach training.
This program was originally designed for international candidates who wish to enhance their skills in teaching English as a foreign language, but it also attracts domestic students.
The Assessors level provides methods, guides and models, supported by several case studies that will provide knowledge on how to implement and process assessment.
Students will investigate the mind-body connection, the use of movement as an educational and therapeutic tool and explore ways to plan and implement rich and appropriate indoor and outdoor movement programs and activities for young children.
