VIU is a public university on the west coast of Canada with campuses on the traditional territory of the Suneymuxw, Quw’utsun, Tla’amin, Snaw-naw-as and Qualicum First Nations.
In order to provide Special Olympics athletes with a quality experience in sport, coaches are expected to attain a minimum level of qualification, and are supported in their pursuit of coach training.
This program is designed for group registration of international students or teachers who wish to receive in-class TESOL training in Vancouver, Canada (2 weeks) blended with online TESOL training (60 hours), and receive certification from ATC to teach English abroad.
This training program allows graduates to be able to observe, detect and develop techniques and skills that meet the special needs of children in a childcare setting in order to promote their inclusion.
Students will investigate the mind-body connection, the use of movement as an educational and therapeutic tool and explore ways to plan and implement rich and appropriate indoor and outdoor movement programs and activities for young children.
The TESOL certificate program is a for-credit post-baccalaureate program made up of 8 half-credits and was first offered through Woodsworth College in 1972.
