Participants learn and practice essential assertiveness skills such as responding to criticism, constructive feedback, and dealing with difficult situations.
Group training works best when staff feels heard and shares the training goals that have been identified. This is where collaboration before the training is needed most.
Our group has come together out of a shared set of values that places the greatest value on the skills and knowledge you already have. We are a team of professionals with more than 50 years of combined experience dedicated to helping children and adults find greater success and happiness in life.
Our experiences come from working at all levels of the education system and in private clinics in Canada and Europe. We happily provide in-person and remote services in all corners of Saskatchewan. Each of us is well-versed in working with Indigenous children and their families. While our experiences and services are varied, we share one simple goal: how can we help you live a life worth living?
How We Can Help
Our work always begins with taking the time needed to fully answer three questions: What are your goals? What is going right for you in life? and What is interfering with you reaching your goals? With this information we can develop together a plan to chart your path forward in life.
Few things get better in a single day or without effort. Small improvements, continued over time, usually result in the best outcomes. Being kind to ourselves as we develop new skills is an important part of mental health.
This workshop will help you distinguish among assertive, aggressive and passive behaviors.
This workshop will explore self-limiting concepts and behaviours.
Assertiveness is a key communication tool that is professional and respectful.
This course will teach members what constitutes assertiveness; the difference between assertiveness and aggression; dealing with criticism and learning when to say “NO”.
With this training, you'll recognize that by behaving assertively, you will gain more self-confidence and self-respect, develop personal power, cultivate and maintain the cooperation and respect of others, and minimize unhealthy conflict.
