DurationAn introduction to sailing course for those twelve years old and up (12+) requiring no sailing experience to allow them to step into our summer Fundamentals or Intermediate program.
This two-day accelerated course will give sailors the opportunity to build a solid foundation of skills before the summer season begins. At the end of the course instructors will recommend the next best course for that sailor and sailors will make progress towards their CANSail levels.

The Sailing Club Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of St. Margaret Sailing Club, ensuring efficient resource management, exceptional member and visitor experiences, and alignment with the club’s mission and strategic goals.
This individual will act as the central point of contact for members, staff, volunteers, and visitors, fostering collaboration and community engagement.Our club teems with activity during the weekends throughout the sailing season from late May to early September.
Our members expect the clubhouse to remain available during those weekends, with the exception of special events. You may need to accommodate special events and rentals in the evenings on occasion.
Before you leave our classroom, you will know whether or not you passed the exam and if you did, you’ll immediately receive a temporary licence.
We have been offering sailing courses to children in the community for over 25 years!
Enjoy a fun and relaxing 3-hour (or longer) experience on the water with your Sail Canada instructor as your skipper.
At the Fanshawe Yacht Club Sailing School, we offer our youth program as a day school through the summer months.
For members new to sailing we offer introductory sail training on the best-maintained fleet of vessels out of Jericho Sailing Centre
