This workshop takes 2-4 hours to complete.
Important Information
Unit Standard: 31957 - Demonstrate knowledge of working safely as a general worker on a worksite under temporary traffic management. Level 2, 3 Credits Assessment Method: 2-4 hours of theory in a classroom environment. Pass Criteria: 100% Miscellaneous: briefing delivered by TTM Assessor Refresher: No refresher required - refreshed by briefing from STMS Workshop Fee includes: General Worker Handbook, Unit Standard 31957, Verification Certificate. Please note, this is NOT a Waka Kotahi warranted course, there will be NO ID card issued for its completion.

Traffic Management NZ can arrange and carry out part or all of your traffic management requirements from basic shoulder closure on a level road to lane closures and traffic controls on motorways.
The qualification is gained by attending a full day (8.30 to 5.00) classroom course and then at a later date complete an onsite practical setup assessment which involves off lane work only. (footpath and shoulder closures)

The STMS Universal Two Day Workshop is for any person who wants to be an onsite STMS on a category A, B, and/or C road environment or in a mobile operation, Traffic Operations Manager, TTM Mentor, TTM Assessor, or TTM Trainer, TTM Planner, TMP Approver, TTM Audiotr, Traffic Management Co-ordinator.
This workshop covers safe working practices, standards and operating conditions for Level Low Volume (LV) and Level One (L1) road work sites, as required by the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (COPTTM).
