Campbell Park Tennis Club is a hidden secret. Our very central Auckland tennis club is in a lovely sheltered spot handy to Greenlane, Epsom, Mt Eden and Remuera. Tucked just off Greenlane East Road, it could have just as easily been called ‘Cornwall Park Tennis Club’, as we are a part of the iconic Cornwall Park Trust land.
We are a family friendly and sociable club, offering all levels of tennis to all ages of players. Our extraordinarily successful junior tennis coaching programme was developed by longtime resident coach and Australian Open Winner Judy Chaloner, becoming the largest and most successful in New Zealand. The coaching programme now provided by Sparta under Dwayne Cleugh has continued our considerable success.
We offer six floodlit tennis courts, of the highest quality found in New Zealand. Our three Plexicushion hard courts are the same type as used at the Australian Open from 2008 until 2019, a surface which is only available at a couple of other sites in New Zealand and also used by the ASB Classic tournaments. This premium surface attracts tour players, including Maria Sharapova, David Ferrer, Julia Göerges and others who chose Campbell Park when looking for courts to train on when in New Zealand. We also have three premium quality synthetic grass courts. Our clubhouse is contemporary and comfortable, with a large covered balcony offering the perfect place to watch tennis from.
For those wanting to learn tennis in a fun environment, this class is a very social and high-energy session that teaches basic technique and tactics. No pressure at all, this is the class to gain confidence and just have fun with the sport, we also have intermediate teens
Tennis Hot Shots is a world-class tennis programme with a progressive pathway for 3-12 year-olds. Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls allows children to play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on the court i.e learn through play.
Adult Tennis Coaching is offered by Mt Eden Tennis Club. Great tennis coaching is a big part of the club. From beginners who want to learn, through to the competitive souls who want to polish up their game at a high level.
Hot Shots Tennis is a fun way for children between the ages of 3-10+ to play and learn tennis. Each stage provides the right equipment and court size to play tennis at their ability and interest.
This Tennis Xpress class is an 8 week programme run in Term 4 and offers skills & drills for those adults who want to come back into the game, or those who have never learnt to play the game.
