Everyone on your Tennis Xpress course will be new to tennis or not played for many years so you can be sure that you’ll all have lots of fun and laughs together as you learn. Coaches guide and encourage you, adapting their teaching styles so you can learn in a way that best suits you.
You’ll gain confidence and be introduced to ‘play on’ opportunities where you can get out and have friendly hits with the people you’ve met on the course or your friends and family that already play.
Tennis Auckland is an Incorporated Society providing the delivery of tennis services and activities to its member clubs and the general public in the Auckland area. There are over 50 clubs within the region and a further 14 clubs in the associate Counties region with a total membership of 9,500 affiliates.
Tennis Auckland provides four public tennis facilities in Auckland. The ASB Tennis Arena (managed by Next Generation Club), TotalCoach Tennis Centre in St Johns, Nicholson Park in Mt Eden and Manukau Tennis Centre in Manukau.
Tennis Auckland hosts two international tennis tournaments in January each year at ASB Tennis Arena; the ASB Classic featuring many of the world’s top men and women players. Tennis Hot Shots is a world-class tennis programme with a progressive pathway for 3-12 year-olds. Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls allows children to play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on the court i.e learn through play.

Tennis (Junior Programme) is offered by Island Bay Tennis and Squash Club. For 5 and 6 year olds new to tennis we can offer the option of Junior Coaching without club membership for up to one term. This allows young kids a chance to give tennis a go without the commitment of club membership.Â
Tennis Xpress course is offered by Kilbirnie Tennis Club. A Six-week course for adult beginners who want to learn how to play tennis in a social environment. Kilbirnie Tennis Club is a friendly club that welcomes and supports new members.
