Everyone on your Tennis Xpress course will be new to tennis or not played for many years so you can be sure that you’ll all have lots of fun and laughs together as you learn. Coaches guide and encourage you, adapting their teaching styles so you can learn in a way that best suits you.
You’ll gain confidence and be introduced to ‘play on’ opportunities where you can get out and have friendly hits with the people you’ve met on the course or your friends and family that already play.
Tennis Auckland is an Incorporated Society providing the delivery of tennis services and activities to its member clubs and the general public in the Auckland area. There are over 50 clubs within the region and a further 14 clubs in the associate Counties region with a total membership of 9,500 affiliates.
Tennis Auckland provides four public tennis facilities in Auckland. The ASB Tennis Arena (managed by Next Generation Club), TotalCoach Tennis Centre in St Johns, Nicholson Park in Mt Eden and Manukau Tennis Centre in Manukau.
Tennis Auckland hosts two international tennis tournaments in January each year at ASB Tennis Arena; the ASB Classic featuring many of the world’s top men and women players. Tennis Auckland’s vision is to make tennis a part of every Aucklander’s life and the purpose is to advance the sport of tennis in the region by enabling rewarding tennis opportunities for everyone on a sustainable basis.
Tennis Coaching is offered by Waikato Tennis Trust. Tennis is a sport for the whole family to try. Love Tennis is child-friendly, while also offering teens, adults, and seniors the opportunity to get a racket in hand and to have a go.
Teen Tennis course is offered by Planitpro. We deliver a world-class experience across junior, adult and performance tennis programmes, as well as run a full-service pro shop
Tennis Hot Shots course is offered by Avonhead Tennis Club. Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis programme for New Zealand children. Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls mean that kids can play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on court.
Our Junior Coaching programme is held on Saturday mornings with the season starting in early September and runs through to April. Our programme uses the Hot Shots coaching principals to introduce younger players to the game of tennis.Â
This program is worked in with the existing primary schools around Greendale Tennis Club and a more comprehensive program is run for kids aged 4 - 8 on a Saturday morning. Greendale Tennis Club is a community play centre for Hot Shots.
