By examining different editing styles, this course covers the elements of storytelling, performance, pace, emotion, action, continuity, and time manipulation. Instruction includes lectures, discussion, and viewing exercises.
You also learn to select the most appropriate editing systems and technology by evaluating the limitations of budgets and time.

We create audio/visual stories in groups and as individuals, we showcase our work and share our messages with other teens. We develop industry specific skills with access to equipment and get to know professional filmmakers and artists at the forefront of their medium.

This course introduces students to the world of filmmaking. Students are briefly introduced to the history of film as well as given an introduction to visual thinking and writing for film. Students learn to script, storyboard, direct, and edit through demonstrations and class discussions.
