  • Dr Steven Msomi is a Fellow & sits on the Board of Governors of the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM). He is the CEO of Kabusha Advisory, which is a mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory and capital raising entity. He has a PhD in Finance from KwaZulu-Natal University, a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia and other qualifications from different institutions. Steven recently completed the Blockchain & crypto-assets certificate from University of Cape Town. Steven has over 20 years of corporate experience with over ten years in mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory and capital raising roles. Steven has extensive corporate experience having worked for companies like Rand Merchant Bank, FNB Private Clients, PSG Konsult, South African Breweries, Sanlam and KwaZulu-Natal University. Steven has been lecturing on a part-time basis from 2004 as he has passion for sharing information, having lectured Finance to MBA students at UKZN, and has supervised 30 Masters dissertations. He has facilitated programmes for different private and government entities which include ABSA, Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal, Ithala Bank, Umngeni Water, University Extended Learning, and many others. Steven has facilitated the following programmes: Accounting & Finance for Entrepreneurs, Blockchain & Crypto-assets, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Management Development Programme, Equity Investment Management Programme, Portfolio Management Accounting & Finance, Project Packaging, Financial Modeling, Share Trading & Investments, due diligence & valuation, JSE for Youth. He has presented in radio stations and conferences in and outside of South Africa and sits on Digitlab and Blockchain Global Strategies (BGS) corporate Boards.
