TinkerCAD specifically is a complete, 3D modelling computer-aided design (CAD) software that allows students to bring their imagination to life, without requiring any previous design experience. Directly interacting with Alpha Coding’s 3D printer, MakerBot; students are able to plan, design and create any object they choose. Specifically, students will learn how to operate the various aspects of TinkerCAD through multiple “mini lessons” within the software. The main educational benefits apart from design skills students will encounter include:
Is your child ready for the innovation economy? Alpha Coding is dedicated to inspire the next generation of innovators, creative thinkers, and problem solvers in the global and innovation-based economy.
We offer project- and interest-based curriculum. Our 2,200-sqft facility consists of three workshops and one lounge; and is fully equipped with laptops, projectors, internet, whiteboards, and MakerBot 3D printer.
Manufacturing with mud allows us to reintroduce traditional, sustainable local materials into our contemporary culture using design thinking and creative problem-solving to address quality, cost and efficiency issues in response to the global housing crisis.
Come learn about the art of 3D design and printing at The Maker Bean! During this workshop, you’ll learn how to: Use a 3D design tool to create objects in space, Incorporate existing 3D designs into your work, Get your design ready for 3D printing, Load and operate a 3D printer
3D printing is making a physical part from a digital object that you created with CAD software. 3D Printing is a fast way of creating parts from Toys to Automotive Parts by depositing thin layers of plastic from the bottom up until the object is complete.
3D Printing Workshop is offered by Metis Nation of Alberta. Want to learn the ins and outs of basic 3D printing? Come test out Stanley Milner Library’s brand-new MakerSpace and meet other Métis youth! Staff from EPL will walk participants through the process of 3D printing by helping them desi...
In this orientation, you will learn how 3D printers work and how to set-up and run the 3D printer. You will learn the basics of 3D printing technologies and ways of using them creatively, and you will become familiar with MakerLabs' resources available for member and drop-in use.
