Once qualified this person will be able to setup and look after shoulder (off lane) and footpath traffic control only. The TMQ can also be a site minder for on lane traffic control while the STMS is off site for short periods of time. (inspections or break periods)

The TTM Worker course is the first step working in a TTM crew under a TMO or STMS. It consists of in class learning, practical mentoring in a controlled environment and a practical assessment on the live road.Â
Training and Mentoring NZ runs Waka Kotahi approved Temporary Traffic Management workshops nationwide. We have trainers and assessors operating across New Zealand on an almost-weekly basis.
The STMS Universal Two Day Workshop is for any person who wants to be an onsite STMS on a category A, B, and/or C road environment or in a mobile operation, Traffic Operations Manager, TTM Mentor, TTM Assessor, or TTM Trainer, TTM Planner, TMP Approver, TTM Audiotr, Traffic Management Co-ordinator.
This workshop covers safe working practices, standards and operating conditions for Level Low Volume (LV) and Level One (L1) road work sites, as required by the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (COPTTM).
TTM Worker is the new entry level training for people joining the TTM industry. Temporary traffic management (TTM) Worker Workshop is for workers who assist with TTM under direction, such as by the Site Traffic Manager (STMS).
