(Parents participate in the Toddlers class, Students go into the Kindy Class independently) A participation certificate is given at the end of each term.
All That Jazz Dance Studio was established in January 1993. They are still located in the same building but now occupy all of level 1. The studio has one of Perth’s finest reputations and is well known for being a quality run dance studio.
Studio owner and Principal Fiona Scott has enjoyed teaching all styles of dance for over 26 years. Fiona started dancing at age 5 where she studied ballet, jazz, theatrical and tapping. She now enjoys passing on her knowledge, experience and the love of dance to students of all ages. Fiona has been actively involved in local Theatre productions as well including performing in and choreographing shows like Chicago, Cats, Cabaret, 42nd Street and Annie.
Fiona is now the new WAAPA Musical Theatre Tap Lecturer and is enjoying teaching Levels 2, 3 and 4 for the Musical Theatre BA course at WAAPA. Exciting news also, Fiona is now a Tapatak Oz Examiner in Australia and hope s to enjoy passing on her knowledge of tap dance in the community. Fiona is also travelling to New York in 2019 to complete the American Tap Dance Teachers Training Course.
The studio originally started with a group of Adults learning to tap dance at the local hall in Wanneroo from 1988 – 1992 (Known as the Wanneroo Tappers). This was so popular that the studio was then opened in 1993 to cater for Children as young as 2yrs through to Adults.
The studio is actively involved in all local dance competitions. The studio provides open classes in all ages and dance styles and teaches the CSTD syllabus for examinations (Commonwealth Society of teachers of Dance). All That Jazz also offers floorshow performances throughout the year and has regular trips to Sydney to learn from Australia’s top Choreographers and teachers.
Classes for walkers provide a high energy interactive group time designed for busy toddlers including songs, movement, dance, story and rhyme followed by gross motor circuit and activity stations. Parents enjoy fresh coffee and connecting with others during the free play time
These are classes for young beginners from which students may choose a direction to advance through the grades or to attend the next appropriate level of classes as a recreational activity.
For 3-5yr olds this special class teaches how we can meet & engage with each-other through dance.
This is an unstructured Hip Hop/Jazz style class for ages 5yrs and under. Parents are required to accompany their child for the duration of the class. This is a 45min class. Drop in or full term enrollments available.
From walking age until 2 years, this class is for children and a parent/guardian to participate in together. Ribbons, dots, teddy bears and songs are all incorporated for a fun movement activity.
