Course description: Ontario Traffic Control Manual Book 7 has been developed to provide basic uniform requirements for traffic control in temporary work zones.
Temporary condition training is for workers who are responsible for creating and implementing traffic control in temporary work areas. Participants will receive training on the hazards and proper procedures involved in the operation of traffic control on roadways and construction sites.

The one-day Signaller and Traffic Control Person program is designed to assist those who work as signallers or as traffic control persons understand the relevant legislation, learn the risks associated with their work, and find out how to manage those risks.
This course teaches participants how to develop an effective traffic control plan. Participants learn how to recognize, evaluate and control hazards related to road construction.
When it comes to hazards Traffic is right up there. Many workers have been struck by cars and there have even been workers killed by cars hitting them in a trench.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of vehicle traffic hazards, establish effective procedures, and identify control options.
Traffic control is used to regulates the flow of traffic to protect construction workers and the motoring public, stop traffic when necessary, and allow construction to proceed safely and effectively.
