This course is a requirement by Workplace Health and Safety Compensation Commission for anyone seeking employment as a Traffic Control Person in NL.
It is a four hour in-class session designed to provide the basics of traffic control while informing participants of their rights under occupational health and safety legislation in this province. Successful participants are issued a certification which is valid for three years.

This training program teaches participants how to develop an effective traffic control plan. Participants learn how to identify and control hazards related to road construction.
The latest Ministry of Labour Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and construction regulations provisions for traffic control and worker protection have been in effect since June, 2000.
This workshop is designed for participants who have little or no working knowledge to perform their duties and obligations as Traffic Control Personnel.
This training program combines both the WorkplaceNL Level 1 & Level 2 Traffic Control Person training programs, and is designed for individuals who require both levels of training.
BEST Safety Training has developed this course to help guide employers in the set up of traffic control devices in temporary construction, maintenance, and utility work zones.
