This certification course will provide participants the introductory tools necessary to implement an effective, comprehensive employee health protection and promotion program into their organization by use of Ergonomic and Wellness theory/principles and participatory applications.

This two day course is an interactive training opportunity where participants engage in classroom activities simulating anatomical risk factors via various participatory learning activities, discussions and practicum activities.

The current TDG laws have been with us for over 30 years. Over that time, the training component has stayed very consistent. Well, that is all about to change!
Last year, the Canadian General Standards Board created a new standard - CAN/CGSB-192.3-2020: Transportation of dangerous goods training, assessment and competency. This new standard radically changes how TDG training should be done.
Transport Canada has now stated they will adopt the new standard into law, requiring employers to create new documents and upgrade the way they train anyone involved in TDG.
After successful monitoring, candidates are authorized to teach first aid courses on their own.
During this time, trainees will be expected to achieve competency in delivering all aspects of the course to the point where they can be formally assessed in the last week of the course.
Delivery of a pre-prepared training session on the delegate’s chosen subject related to their work.
This in-person workshop provides an opportunity for individual instructors or instructional teams to focus on the enhancement of a new or existing assessment in their course(s).
This course will provide instructors with the competencies to deliver competency-based courses in a classroom, in accordance with the ICAO Adapted Instructor Competency Model.
