What you need to know before applying:
The course consists of up to 3 days of training.
Candidates must hold a permanent full-time or part-time contract of employment.
You will be required to have a working knowledge of the latest safeguarding legislation guidelines and best practice.
You will be asses throughout the course and will be required to conduct a micro teach to the group.

The purpose of this course is to give the attendees the skills and all important confidence to design and deliver effective training courses. The course is suitable for those who already train but have never had any formal training themselves, or for people who are completely new to this.
Audience: Managers, supervisors or other staff members in the independent and voluntary sector establishments who have experience of moving and handling of people. Delegates should also have responsibility for delivering training or the ability and capacity to deliver training.
The in-person workshops will take place at Oxford Brookes University, Swindon campus each month. We can also offer bespoke workshops for organisations who would like to have the workshop delivered on their own site.
The training will be brought to you and carried out over a period of 5 consecutive working days in the same week. Please be aware that all 5 staff will need to be released for the full 5 day period.
