Classroom Session Topics

• The importance of following and abiding by the laws and regulations set out and enforced by Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health.

• The responsibilities of the employer and employees. 

• Students will be able to determine what hazardous products are being used in the workplace.

• The responsibilities of the suppliers and how to obtain the current SDSs.

• How to read labels, WHMIS pictograms and SDSs and how to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

• How to develop safe work procedures and how to deal with emergencies.

• How to handle, use and store the existing workplace chemicals safely.

Practical Session

• Upon successful completion, Province Wide Safety Training Ltd issues a diploma and wallet-sized certificate to the trainer.

• Trainers receive ongoing support and contact with Province Wide Safety Training Ltd for any future needs or queries.
